UGV Beast PT Jetson Orin ROS2 Kit is an open-source off-road tracked AI robot designed for Jetson Orin Series boards. Built for AI research, autonomous navigation, and robotics education, it features dual controllers for 360° precision, Lidar, depth camera, and web-based control with ROS2 support.

Description

The UGV Beast PT Jetson Orin ROS2 Kit is a high-performance tracked AI robot platform optimized for AI development, robotics research, and STEM education. It combines rugged engineering with open-source flexibility, providing seamless ROS2-Humble integration and compatibility with the Jetson Orin Series for advanced vision, mapping, and navigation applications.

With a dual-controller architecture, the Beast merges high-level AI processing on the host controller with precise real-time motion control on the sub-controller, ensuring smooth and accurate operation. Equipped with Lidar, a 160° depth camera, and pan-tilt servos (30 kg·cm torque), it supports computer vision, object tracking, and autonomous exploration.

The system runs Ubuntu 22.04 with full ROS2 support, controllable directly through a web interface—no software installation required. Designed for both beginners and advanced developers, it allows users to interactively program via Jupyter Lab and achieve real-time AI experimentation.

Constructed with stainless steel suspension and 40 mm wide tracks, the chassis ensures stability across uneven terrain while maintaining a compact footprint (196 × 231 × 286 mm) and in-place 0 m turning radius. Power is supplied by a 3S UPS module supporting three 18650 lithium batteries (not included).

Ideal for AI vision, SLAM, and autonomous robotics projects, the UGV Beast PT bridges the gap between industrial durability and open-source creativity—making it a reliable choice for research labs, robotics startups, and educational environments.
